    Parking Information:  There are parking lots available on the West side of 3rd
    Avenue adjacent to Westminster Manor and on the North side of Elm Street
    between 3rd and 4th Avenues.  Limited curbside parking around the block of the
    church is also available.

    9:45 Renee Calvo: Incorporating Jazz Techniques into the Voice Studio

    With extensive experience in both classical and jazz performance, Ms. Calvo will
    show you how to use jazz techniques to expand the repertoire and creativity of
    your high school students.

    10:30 Stephanie Sabin: Challenges of Young Adults Singing Pop and Rock

    Ms. Sabin brings a unique expertise in working with young adults in both classical
    and contemporary commercial music. She will help you broaden your studios’ pop
    and rock skills while adhering to a healthy vocal technique.

    11:15 Anne-Marie Dicce:  Early Music Singing Style and Repertoire

    A founding member of the early music vocal ensemble, Bach Collegium, Dr. Dicce
    will highlight some of the nuances of early music repertoire and enable you to
    enliven your students' understanding of a style that offers particular benefits to the
    development of young voices.

    ABOUT OUR GUEST PRESENTER

    Soprano Kathleen Martin began teaching voice following an impressive
    performance career that spanned 20 years and encompassed most of Europe’s
    major opera houses and concert halls. While in Europe she appeared frequently on
    television and radio and worked with prominent conductors Barenboim,
    Harnoncourt, Plasson and Perick among others.

    Ms. Martin returned to the US in 1993 and established a vocal studio in Laguna
    Niguel. She was a member of the Voice faculty at CSU Long Beach from 1997-
    2005.  She has since become a recognized expert in training young voices and was
    invited to speak at the NATS National Convention in Houston in 2004.

    Her high school students have been accepted into voice departments at The
    Julliard School, Manhattan School of Music, USC, Northwestern, Boston
    Conservatory and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her students are
    winners in national and local competitions including Classical Singer, L.A. Music
    Center Spotlight Awards, Tomorrow's Stars at the Center, VOCE, NATS,
    POSA and Musical Arts Club.
