MEMBERSHIP  


    Benefits:

    The San Diego Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Inc.
    represents members of NATS who reside in San Diego County. We offer our local
    members many opportunities for expanding their teaching knowledge, networking, and
    enabling their students to participate in competitions, evaluations and master classes.

    Requirements:

    A. Full Membership: Designed for persons whose professional training and/or
    experience qualifies them to be teachers of singing or vocal coaches. They must have
    at least two years' teaching experience and must be members in good standing of the
    National Association of Teachers of Singing before applying to the chapter. Full
    members have full voting privileges and may hold office at any level.

    B. Associate Membership: Designed for those whose training and/or teaching
    experience does not yet qualify them for Full Membership, but who may eventually
    become Full Members, such as graduate students, upper-level undergraduate voice
    majors and private voice teachers who are still completing their qualifications.
    Associate Members may vote or hold office at any level.

    C. Affiliate Membership: Any person or group that has a close relationship to or
    interest in vocal pursuits but is not actually engaged in the teaching of voice. This
    category may include accompanists, coaches, music stores, publishers, interested
    otolaryngologists and speech therapists, etc. Affiliate members may not vote or hold
    office at any level.

    Dues:

    Yearly membership dues are $35 due by February 1. A late fee of $10 will be assessed
    after that date.
